Cadie has grown so much with us during her time as an apprentice!

Cadie recently received the prestigious Platinum Award at The Movement Competition. The Platinum Award is the highest award one can receive within her individual category! You would have last seen Cadie on the Circle stage in our recent production of Disney’s: Descendants the Musical. She also was the choreographer for the production through our apprenticeship program!
Cadie said of the win, “Overall, this experience enhanced my love for dance, and gave me more knowledge to continue developing my skills both as a dancer and a choreography assistant. Winning a platinum award and 1st place in my category was an incredible honor, and it motivated me to keep learning, improving, and sharing my passion for dance.”

On choreography:
I’m very excited and full of energy. What makes me most excited is helping the people you see on stage. I teach them how to dance, practice with them, and even make videos so they can keep learning. I love seeing my friends perform the dances I helped teach—it makes me really proud.

How has my choreography helped?
I helped teach the cast their dance routines and worked with Courtney to put the choreography and music together. I listen carefully to the music, figure out where the dance steps go, and watch videos to make sure everything looks right. I take notes and review them with the group so we can make the show really strong. I also encourage the cast and help them improve, so everyone feels confident on stage.
